Things We’ve Learned About the Value of Giving – Part 3

There is always more to learn on the journey of sharing and giving. Here are a few takeaways from our short journey thus far:

💗 Don’t underestimate your impact. Even asking someone to share about their cause to an empathetic group of listeners can promote change for both the speaker and listeners. Through the natural process of learning, asking, and answering questions new ideas can be sparked and altruistic action inspired.

💗 Be sure to include yourself in giving. Just like all things in life, it’s important to maintain a balance between giving to others and receiving! Pay attention to when you need to focus on your self-care versus giving your time, money, or energy to a cause. After all, if you’re not getting your needs met, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to meet the needs of others effectively or sustainably.

Overall, we’re just one group getting started when it comes to giving, but one thing that has been made especially clear in the time of COVID is that we are all connected. When we give, we’re essentially giving back to ourselves. Through building strong and healthy communities, we are enabling a vibrant future for all.

We hope this list helped to inspire you to incorporate a spirit of giving all year round. Let us know some of the ways that you’re committing to giving in 2022!

💗 We are currently voting on our company pro bono project for the first quarter in 2022. Tag your favorite non-profit or small business that is creating change in the world in social, political, or environmental sectors. We’ll announce the new project in January.
